Coral Networks is the result of years of research and development in graph theory beginning in the MIT community. Backed by private investors, Coral has grown from a small R&D team to a product-development and services company based in Arlington, Virginia. Over the last two years, Coral has developed a full cloud platform called Skai for managing heterogenous data and process structures as a web.
In the last year, the development team has built the first application of the platform called Skai-Box to browse Skai-Base data objects and their relationships. Coral is currently entering private engagements to build custom solutions using Skai.
Our Approach
Fundamentally, computer science is mathematics. We have taken a mathematical approach to develop a new formalism describing the evolution of data and process structures over time, called Delta Tau Calculus (δτ). The problem that many organizations face is how to manage change over time. Our solution is a time-change model that embraces the inherent complexity of the world and simplifies the task of representing changing data and process structures.
In today’s IT systems , data structures have to be normalized and changes have to be made system-wide. The result is a static, monolithic architecture that does not manage complexity well or adapt to new requirements easily. The more complex the data sets, the higher the development cost and risk of failure. Many software development projects stagnate before completion or quickly become obsolete.
Skai enables an incremental approach to software development. Our services team takes this approach to solve complex-data problems involving distributed data stores and collection mechanisms, heterogenous data sets, and diverse requirements from multiple stakeholders.
Coral is seeking exceptionally talented mathematicians, computer scientists, and technologists who are passionate about abstractions and fun to work with. We offer our employees a competitive salary and an endless supply of hard problems. If interested, please send your resume and a one page cover letter to careers@skai.net.
